SUMMARY:National Science Foundation Graduate Research
DESCRIPTION:The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) helps ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science and engineering in the United States and reinforces its diversity. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions. Each fellowship consists of three years of support during a five-year fellowship period. NSF provides a stipend of $34\,000 to the fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $12\,000 to the graduate degree-granting institution for each fellow who uses the fellowship support in a fellowship year.

SUMMARY:Technology and Web Conference 2022
DESCRIPTION:The organiser of the event\, respected industry stalwart\, Mervyn Ramsey comments: “The Lord’s Taverners aim to raise money for disabled and disadvantaged children across the country. By raising over £325\,000 over the past ten years\, the Sticky Wicket initiative has been able to fund a number of initiatives to provide these children with the help they need.” Recently\, the 2016 competition raised sufficient funds to provide Linden Lodge School\, a sensory and physical colleague in Wimbledon\, with a 16 seater minibus. The school’s pupils have a range of disabilities\, including cerebral palsy\, autism and profound learning difficulties. The minibus allows them to gain access to activities away from school\, such as swimming and visits to beaches\, theatres and museums. \nSimilarly\, the 2017 competition aims to raise money to pay for a minibus for the Markfield Project in Tottenham. Markfield is a charity designed to promote the dignity\, independence and inclusion of disabled people and their families. Their services include after-school clubs\, holiday play schemes and youth projects for disabled children and their siblings.
